“Hi, my name is Dr. Jonathan Luk and I obtained my Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours from the University of Melbourne. Prior to obtaining my dental qualification, I completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science with an Honours degree in the area of vascular pharmacology. I’ve worked in numerous private practices in the south-eastern and eastern suburbs of Melbourne before joining Devon Street Dental Clinic. I take a gentle, calm and thorough approach when managing my patients, and help many nervous and anxious individuals feel comfortable and at-ease under my care. As a practitioner, I enjoy all facets of general dentistry and have vast experience in treating both adults and children in a range of restorative, cosmetic, periodontal, minor surgical, endodontic and prosthodontic procedures. My particular interests lie in preventative and restorative dentistry with a focus on minimum intervention. I’m always keen to further my knowledge and skills, and regularly engage in professional development activities to keep up with new developments. Alongside private practice, I work in community dental in the public sector where I manage the dental needs of medically compromised and special needs patients, and supervise final year dental students on their clinical rotations. I am also a preclinical demonstrator in conservative dentistry for first year dental students at the Melbourne Dental School.“
